A Fun Evening Celebrating Clay
On Thursday, November 7th, we threw a fabulous bash at Treehouse to celebrate the one and only Clay Roberts and his amazing dedication to our community. The night was a whirlwind of fun, with groovy surf tunes from the Ocean Men, tasty bites, and a crowd of fabulous folks.
We can’t wait to see Clay back on the court now that he’s got some extra time to serve up those pickleball magic moves! A huge shoutout to everyone who joined us for an unforgettable night honoring his epic contributions!
“I feel like last night was a celebration of we not me. We have contributed generously the money to create the Founders Courts. We have put in countless of volunteer hours, maintaining our courts and staffing our Founders Tournament. And We have created a warm, welcoming and inclusive community. I think that Barney, Bill, and Joel would be proud.”
Just a few pictures from the night: Don Sickle made a replica original paddle for everyone to sign and gift to Clay. Tom Kelly was our MC. The players that played pickleball on the BBP tennis courts before we had our designated pickleball courts. Special guest, Governor Jay Inslee, pinned Clay Washingtonian of the Day (for a 2nd time!). Lots of pictures of our guest of honor.
