We’re here to share some updates on our journey to renovate the lower courts into the dedicated pickleball courts at Battlepoint Park.

Attention all members! It's time to mark your calendars for some exciting upcoming events you won't want to miss.

Picklepalooza!

Our first-ever youth pickleball event is set for Sunday, June 1st, at the Founders Courts, 1:00 - 5:00 pm.

We need volunteers STAT! We are going to have a booth at the upcoming tournament at the Bainbridge Island Recreation Center this weekend.

Do you know of anyone in the community (on Bainbridge and beyond) who would be a great board member? The deadline to suggest them is March 24th!

The BIP Annual Member Meeting is just around the corner.

Nothing’s wrong with you. You just need a lesson from a professional!

We hope this year has brought many happy moments both on and off the courts. Whether you're playing under clear blue skies or gray mist, I think we can all agree that pickleball brings warmth and joy to our lives.

Bainbridge Island Pickleball exists to ensure that pickleball flourishes here at the birthplace of the sport in perpetuity. It is no small thing that pickleball was invented here. Our origin story needs to be preserved.

Renovation of the Lower Courts –

Lots of people have been asking about the status of the renovation of the lower courts. Well, the good news is the new tennis courts at Sakai Park are playable, which was a condition that had to be met before we could begin our renovation…..

In 1 week, over 150 players have signed up to be a member of our official, non-profit organization!  Big moves and decisions are ahead of us, so we want you all to encourage family, colleagues and loved ones to join with you…..

Thanks to a very generous donor, we've acquired a fancy VAPTR court drying system.

Have noticed that our logo has a new look? As a newly established 501(c)(3), we are embracing change and wanted our appearance to reflect that. We are excited to unveil a fresh and modern design that reflects the dynamic spirit of Bainbridge Island Pickleball’s new organization. We hope it resonates with our community and inspires a renewed sense of pride and belonging.

New towel system:

• Dry towels are now stored in the box previously designated for net storage.

• Feel free to take a dry towel, use it, then take it home to dry.

• Return the dried towel for reuse. Take it home to dry again, and repeat the process.

Please note that any wet towels left on the fences will be disposed of. Click to see a pretty funny video….

On Thursday, November 7th, we threw a fabulous bash at Treehouse to celebrate the one and only Clay Roberts and his amazing dedication to our community. The night was a whirlwind of fun, with groovy surf tunes from the Ocean Men, tasty bites, and a crowd of fabulous folks…..
